Myrna and Steve met me to provide my room keys on Christmas Eve and were very responsive and hospitable. It's about 45-50 minutes from excellent birding at Sax Zim Bog, which was the purpose of my trip. This is perfect if you want cheap, clean, unique lodging and don't mind sharing common spaces.

The pictures really dont give a great idea of what this really looks like....there is 1 room with a double bed that is private downstairs. Another room upstairs. The bunk beds you see are not private. They are out in the open with lockers to put your stuff in.Everyone shares the bathroom. There is a shared kitchen and tv area upstairs. The kitchen was dirty. When we arrived the front door was locked. We walked around to the back door which was unlocked. We went in and no one was there. We stood in the dark as we called the owner. She said she would be right there and we waited 5 minutes in the dark. As we were trying to check in she had to leave twice and go back to her house to get the credit card scanner and then again to get the adapter! Then did not know how to use it. When we asked about a triple A discount she said she had never seen a card like that. Even though when i booked the room they said they offered it. The bathroom door does not lock. When we were leaving we had no idea what to do with our keys or checking out so we just left. I gave it a 1 star because it was clean besides the kitchen area. Very chaotic and unorganized. Would work for a big party that know each other. But only if you dont need any privacy

They don’t claim to be a 5 star hotel but I give them 5 stars for being what they are. I received friendly excellent service. It was perfect for my stay, very affordable and comfortable. I really appreciated having a full kitchen.

Great place to rent a room for a single person or a whole family! Very clean, well-kept, and easy communication with the owner via Airbnb.

Jimbo's Bunkhouse, formerly a bridal shop, is named after the owners' son. It provides a friendly, communal, warm, inexpensive lodging experience. Beautiful wood floors, some vintage furniture, easy parking, very short walk to dining options in Nashwauk (there aren't many, but they are within a block) and comfortable beds. It's not like a hotel where a staff member is always present, so, in that way, it's kind of like an Airbnb. One of the owners will be very flexible (and punctual) in meeting you at the bunkhouse to let you in. Guests share common areas such as a living room, a full kitchen and dining area, and several bathrooms, all of which were very clean. You can pick from private rooms (which lock from the inside) or a fun hostel experience among their bunkbeds downstairs, which includes lockers.
